Set up TUM.Live course connections

Course connections are off by default. They let an Artemis instructor request access to one TUM.Live course. A person with permission to administer the selected TUM.Live course must approve each request.

In the GoCast administration interface, open Integrations and register a new integration. Enter a display name such as Artemis and this exact return URL:

https://artemis.example.edu/api/videosource/public/gocast/approval/callback

GoCast displays the generated API key once. Copy it into the server-side Artemis deployment secret. An integration is separate from human and service accounts, so it does not need a GoCast user or role.

Configure Artemis with the key and the public API and web URLs:

artemis:
tum-live:
integration-enabled: true
api-base-url: https://live.example.edu/api/v2
web-base-url: https://live.example.edu
api-key: <deployment-secret>
server:
url: https://artemis.example.edu

Artemis derives the callback from server.url. GoCast must use that exact callback. Use HTTPS in production. HTTP is accepted only for explicit local development hosts.

Regenerating or revoking the integration's API key does not remove existing course grants. After replacing a key, update the server-side Artemis deployment secret before the next integration request. Artemis does not send the key to browsers.

Key management and course approval are separate actions. Generating a key does not approve any course grant or change existing course permissions. A course owner or an explicitly assigned course administrator must approve the request; instance-administrator authority alone is insufficient. The resulting integration grant does not grant access to course settings or private videos. Instructors can disconnect from Artemis; this revokes the exact grant in TUM.Live before Artemis removes its local connection.
