Getting Started
Welcome to Artemis! This section helps you get set up and familiar with the platform.
First Steps
- Log in to your university's Artemis instance using your institutional credentials.
- Enroll in a course by navigating to the course list and clicking the Course Enrollment button. Some courses may have prerequisites you need to meet before enrolling.
- Explore the course sidebar. Once inside a course, use the left sidebar to navigate to exercises, lectures, exams, communication channels, and more. The available items depend on your course's configuration.
- Start working. Open an exercise from the sidebar, read the problem statement, and submit your solution before the due date.
ℹ️
You can collapse the course sidebar with Ctrl+M and quickly switch between courses using the course icon at the top of the sidebar.
Key Concepts
- Exercises have a release date, a due date, and an assessment due date. Points are awarded based on your submissions and may count toward your final course score.
- Feedback is provided after the assessment due date, either automatically (e.g., for programming and quiz exercises) or manually by tutors.
- Competencies are learning objectives that tie together lectures and exercises. Your progress and mastery are tracked automatically.
- Communication channels let you ask questions, discuss with peers, and receive announcements directly within each course.
